Meet our bright young things…

James Taylor

James heads up the team at Original Search. He specialises in projects advising law firms and start-ups on growth strategy, merger and the sourcing of senior individuals that can add real value to their business. With over ten years’ experience James works with a small portfolio of loyal clients that range from major international law firms, boutiques and investors.

Prior to starting Original Search James had managed boutique professional services search and consulting firm Walgrove, building upon nine years of experience at senior levels with the boutique Legal search firms Macildowie Bates and Braybrooke and Barrow. Before joining the executive search world James enjoyed a brief and uneventful military career.

Outside of the office James is an avid equestrian who enjoys owning and competing his horses.

Dan Scatola

After graduating with both an LLB and an MA, Dan worked as a lawyer before heading up a new business division for the Thomson Corporation, working for a boutique strategic consultancy firm where he spent time working on various public and private sector projects in Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Washington DC.  

Dan lives in the countryside with his wife and two young daughters. As a family they enjoy long walks on the Suffolk Coast and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first puppy.  Any spare time Dan manages to find is spent with his family at home or, on rare occasion, out on the golf course.

Jennifer Milsom

Jenny, a recent Geography graduate from Loughborough University has recently joined the Original Search Team as a team assistant and researcher.  Jenny is just beginning her career in executive search and an exciting new life in London.  Jenny is looking forward to the many challenges in front of her.

In her spare time Jenny is a serious runner, having completed last year’s London Marathon and loves to travel.
